Rebecca Romijn wants to star in her own Wolverine style X-Men spin-off. The Ugly Betty actress — who gave birth to twins earlier this year — says if she can drop all of her baby weight by 2010 she would love to reprise her role as Mystique for the fantasy hero franchise. “If they talk to me in a year when I have worked off more of the baby weight, we’ll see, but I’ve still got a couple of pounds to go,” she says. “It’s a great idea but no one’s talked to me about it yet.”

Romijn — who is married to actor Jerry O’Connell — recently revealed that she lost weight by breastfeeding. “Breastfeeding is the very best diet I’ve been on,” she said. “It’s like you have to eat 5,000 extra calories a day or you can’t produce enough food for them. So, that’s been fun as well. “I’m not pretending to be back to the shape I was in beforehand. I still have a way to go.”

Rebecca Romijn Considers X4

IGN recently talked with X-Men franchise star Rebecca Romijn, who was doing promo for her new gig on tv's Ugly Betty (good show!). When asked if she would return as Mystique for an X-Men 4, the actress said: "Yeah, sure. We'll see if they decide to do any more. I actually don't know what they're planning to do with it. I was signed on for three [movies], so my stint is more or less done at this point." But how would Mystique return, after getting de-powered? "Well, you know, they can always turn these things back around!" said Romijn. "It's not like I was dead or anything."

'wazz up? Ahh! Just what I was wishing for. I hope they make sure to make the movie all centered on Mystique i.e. as the main role and all. A crazy idea I thought of (please don't laugh) is, regardless of how she gets her powers back, is to make her the leader of the bad guys, basically kicking butt throughout the movie and then at the end she turns good and saves all mankind. I''m sobbing already. And I can''t beleive I wrote that. I'll keep my fingers crossed. Go get 'em baby!'
