OK, first of all, new House of Style host Rebecca Romijn has a RIDICULOUS body. Let’s just get that out of the way, because no matter what Kid Rock puts on poolside, it’s sort of beside the point next to homegirl in her white tankini. The Grammy-winning arena rock-rapper is a good sport and is happy to strip down to his white tank and cotton boxers to try on board shorts of all varieties. First, there are several from the label Counter Culture: shorts with flames, a burnout velvet Tiki motif on a metallic base, and an embroidered Hawaiian number.

John Bartlett has straightforward colorblock surf shorts; then there's also an MCD pair with a panel of dragon embroidery on the side that Kid Rock calls Karate Kid shorts. There are tiny, throwback James Bond speedo shorts that Kid deigns to wear over his boxers, and board shorts which he stuffs with tube socks for a little dude help. Rebecca straps one on as well. This doesn’t particularly speak to Kid Rock’s personal style, since he’s totally the type to just waltz into a swimming pool in khaki cargos, but it’s kind of like playing paper dolls with the most incongruous possible subjects.

Our visit to the Bahamas is turning out to be just like a real vacation. We're having a lot of fun. Things occasionally get a little wacky. There are attractive strangers everywhere... and a frisky kind of feeling in the air. Oprah didn't fight that feeling on Thursday [02-18-1999, RRF], when she welcomed Rebecca Romijn - Sports Illustrated's 1999 swimsuit edition cover model - to the show and hosted her own version of The Dating Game. The water's fine, so let's jump right in!

We last saw Rebecca Romijn during our Fantasy Wedding show. [02-04-1999, RRF] Now, everyone is seeing her on the 58 million copies of the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. Rebecca says being selected as the cover model is "like the Oscars of modeling" and that the decision is made based on that rare moment with every element of the photo is "right." In addition to a summer's worth of stunning swimwear, Rebecca also appears in SI surrounded by fresh fruit and fish, and adorned in body paint. (How one swims in those is beyond me.) Rebecca says the body paint shoot took 15 hours to prepare for. Did she feel self-conscious wearing nothing but a coat of paint? "Yeah, a little bit," she admitted.
