08-24-2004: 10 Weeks: Don't Get Mad, Get Even!


MoveOn PAC will wage a star-studded campaign to support Democratic U.S. presidential candidate John Kerry, the organization announced Wednesday.

The liberal political group said it will kick off the campaign with a sold-out gala in New York on Aug. 24 called 10 Weeks: Don't Get Mad, Get Even!

The campaign -- scheduled to run through Election Day -- will feature TV ads created by such filmmakers as Rob Reiner, Darren Aronofsky and Allison Anders, with appearances by Hollywood stars including Matt Damon, Scarlett Johanssen, Kevin Bacon and Rebecca Romijn.

A rabid photographer crossed the line and verbally assaulted Rebecca Romijn Wednesday (04-14-2004, RRF), and the entire ugly incident was caught on tape. Wednesday night in New York, at a private screening of Rebecca’s new movie, "The Punisher," Romijn, was feeling sad after her breakup from her husband John, and chose not to pose for photographers. This caused the paparazzo to break into a long, frequently obscene tirade that included statements like, "I can’t believe this, what a diva!" and, "Now I know why your husband left you!"

04-14-2004: "The Punisher" New York Premiere


The stars of Hollywood's latest comic book movie, The Punisher, were upset to wake up Monday morning to news that their castmate, movie star Rebecca Romijn, had split from her TV star hubby, John Stamos. Amazingly, word hadn't reached co-star Samantha Mathis until she was en route in her limo to the Cinerama Dome premiere Monday evening. "I just heard that getting here, and I'm completely shocked," Mathis said.
